About Carson

Having more than fifteen years of experience as a professional photographer, I am extremely capable in commercial studio, lifestyle, and advertising, including 360 product spins. I thrive in fast-paced environments, in the studio, capturing products on the back of a motorcycle in the middle of a dynamic bicycle race, and photographing the world's top professional athletes in a wind tunnel, all on the same day!

My portfolio displays my own beautiful aesthetic, and I am a true commercial photographer that is highly technical and adaptable to take creative control and or direction to create any style in various conditions.

In addition to my photography, I am efficient and organized with digital asset management and workflow and am an experienced capture technician to support a team, including post-production management. I have digitally assisted notable photographers Vincent Laforet, Chase Jarvis, John Konkal, Embry Rucker, Dana Hersey, and Viktor Budnik. Managing tens of thousands of images per day on multi-day shoots in the studio and on-location in my digital assisting business Digital Capture Systems.

After getting hit head-on by a distracted driver while riding my bike in 2005, I dedicated myself to transportation advocacy with an emphasis on cycling. Eventually, I founded a Cycling Culture Incubator in my hometown, Ride Redding. Ride Redding raised the profile of cycling in the community, incubated the Redding Trail Alliance and the Redding Composite High School MTB Team, and helped garner community support for the City of Redding to obtain $20 million in California Active Transportation Program grant projects for cycling infrastructure projects. This momentum continues to Ride Redding forward today, making it one of the world's top places to live, work and play by bike, at least in my biased opinion.
